Alcon Media Group Brings VR Game 'Blade Runner: Revelations' to Daydream

LOS ANGELES, CA, JANUARY 9, 2018 -Alcon Media Group has partnered with Google and technology company Lenovo to release the upcoming adventure/thriller VR game Blade Runner: Revelations it was announced by Alcon co-founders and co-CEOs Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove.

Blade Runner: Revelationsis a virtual reality experience based on the iconic Blade Runner universe in which users assume the role of Harper, a seasoned blade runner who unravels a twisted replicant plot that threatens the delicate balance of Los Angeles in 2023. Users will search for evidence with the help of their flying spinner, deadly blaster, and esper image reconstruction to try to solve the mystery in an immersive VR environment.

The VR game leverages WorldSense, a groundbreaking technology created by Google that enables PC-quality position tracking on a mobile device without the need for any additional external sensors.  With it, you can duck, dodge and lean, and to step backwards, forwards, and side to side, unlocking new gameplay elements that bring the world of Blade Runner to life. 

Blade Runner: Revelations was created by Seismic Games in conjunction with Google. The innovative game will be best experienced with the Lenovo Mirage Solo, Lenovo's soon to be released headset with enhanced portability, ease of use, high performance graphics, and clear immersion all without the use of a smartphone device.

Alcon Media Group and Alcon Interactive published the new game following the critical success of the recent release Blade Runner 2049 from Oscar nominated director Dennis Villeneuve and starring Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri and Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.

Alcon's upcoming projects include the contemporary war drama 12 Strong starring Chris Hemsworld (Thor franchise), Michael Shannon (The Shape of Water), and Michael Peña (The Martian). The film is a co-production with Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean franchise) and Black Label Media, set for release on January 19, 2018.
